About Whirlpool Falls

On a tributary to Porra Creek flowing into the main watercourse just downstream of Redwater Falls is a small, unnamed waterfall that cascades over a mossy cliff of about 6 metres in height. The falls were a surprise to us as we stumbled across it while descending towards the base of Redwater Falls, and it was a nice bonus attraction in its rainforest environs with a small pool forming a picturesque whirpool in long exposure photos, hence the name.

The full description of the three day, off track walk into the Wayati Gorge and its waterfalls is on the Redwater Falls page.
