About Kenmere Falls

Upstream of Victoria Valley Falls is another impressive and similarly large waterfall, which cascades about 20 metres over as many as three segments depending on waterflow in the creek. The falls are unnamed on maps and marked only by a blue dash, so the name Kenmere Falls is just an unofficial title derived from the name of the creek. No track accesses Kenmere Falls, however they are only a short off track walk from Victoria Valley Falls and the pair make for a nice combined trip.

From the Victoria Valley Falls carpark, walk down the road towards the creek. Shortly before the creek a small clearing is visible on the right next to the road, which is the best place to head into the bush. It's relatively open dry sclerophyll forest with only small scrubby sections, and after a walk of no more than 200 metres from the road you will arrive at the falls. The area around the base of Kenmere Falls is extremely rocky and slippery so extreme care is require to find the best photo spots, but the falls are a great reward for effort for a bit of an off-the-beaten-track hike.
