About Upper Risbys Falls

A short distance upstream from Risbys Falls is another gorgeous rainforest waterfall, unofficially known as Upper Risbys Falls. The upper falls are smaller than Risbys Falls at only about 10 metres high, but are no less picturesque in a mossy rainforest setting. From Risbys Falls, ascend to the top via the eastern (right) side, and barely 100 metres upstream you will arrive at the base of the upper falls.

This is an area only suitable for prepared hikers experienced in off-track Tasmanian bush, but for those prepared for the challenge it is a very rewarding 2-3 hours in the rainforest to explore the Risbys Falls complex.
