A stunning waterfall that drops from the top of a mountain, Winterbrook Falls is a large waterfall situated a Winter Brook. Winter Brook begins life on Fossey Mountains, and gradually flows to join the very powerful River Leven.

Our trip to Winterbrook Falls commenced from Smiths Plains Road, south of South Nietta.  Signs along the road will guide you to the car park area of Winterbrook Falls.  The road soon turns to unsealed Forestry Roads, and can be somewhat challenging to drive on when muddy if you do not have a 4WD. About 700 metres from the carparking area for Winterbrook Falls, the road abruptly ends due to partially collapsed bridge.  It is from this point you commence your walk.
