Cephissus Falls is a small cascading waterfall encased in gorgeous rainforest in the spectacular Pine Valley, a popular destination that can be reached as an overnight detour from the Overland Track, or overnight hike from Narcissus Bay at Lake St Clair.

Pine Valley Hut is a mostly flat and easy 4.5km hike from the Overland Track, and serves as a base for longer hikes to the amazing mountain scenery of the Labyrinth and Acropolis. Cephissus Falls is seemingly worlds away from these high peaks though, being an easy 5 minute walk along the Acropolis Track from the hut.

Numerous vantage points for photographing the various tiers of the falls are possible from either side of the creek, and this combined with the lush green mosses and rainforest make it a great destination for photographers.
