About Princess Falls

On Princess Creek is a series of three waterfalls, the uppermost of which was once known as Princess Falls, however for reasons unknown this name no longer appears on maps. The falls were once part of a railway network, possibly related to mining and the dam upstream, which can be seen in historic photographs. The actual Princess Falls are an attractive sloped cascade, with the easiest access probably from the dam upstream though there are no recent photos or trip reports so whether or not it is possible is unclear.

The lower of the three falls appears to be the most impressive and has a track marked on maps, however this is apparently well overgrown and access to the trailhead is blocked by the railway company.
