About Moonlight Creek Cascades

The remote Moonlight Creek in Southwest National Park features a pair of impressive unnamed waterfall features in its upper reaches on Moonlight Ridge. The first of these falls is Moonlight Cascades, which drop about 10 metres over a series of ledges, which can be viewed from several levels including the base.

There are no tracks that lead to Moonlight Creek Cascades, with access only possible for experienced hikers. It is best to do the walk as an overnighter, however a day trip is possible if you start early. If you make the effort to get to the cascades it is highly recomended to continue a little further downstream to the far larger, and spectacular Moonlight Falls. More information on the hike can be found on that page.
