Parsons Falls

03 Jan 2022

Parsons Falls

Had some difficulty finding the track to the bottom, ended up using our own unique path down some huge boulders. Not much water flowing down the falls, but the pool at the bottom was very refreshing to swim in :)

Westmorland Falls

Westmorland Falls

Fungi stole the show! 19+ different kinds of fungi found along the track turning this 2 hour walk into a 5 hour walk.

Punchbowl Falls

18 Jun 2022

Punchbowl Falls

Lots of muddy water coming down from the recent storm event.

Waratah Falls

25 Jun 2022

Waratah Falls

Very wet day so we didn't attempt to get to the base of the falls. Plenty of water flowing.

Philosopher Falls

25 Jun 2022

Philosopher Falls

Lots of steps to the viewing platform! Not a particularly interactive waterfall in that it's difficult to get to the bottom and is obscured by trees.

Knyvet Falls

25 Jun 2022

Knyvet Falls

Great waterfall. Lots of water and the ability to get close (sort of) to the base.

Pencil Pine Falls

25 Jun 2022

Pencil Pine Falls

Rounding out the first day of our Waratah/ Cradle waterfall adventure. Apart from the persistent drizzle, an easily accessible waterfall with plenty of water.

Crater Falls

26 Jun 2022

Crater Falls

We started out at the Ronny Creek car park and walked through the snow to the bottom of the creek. There were multiple picture worthy sections of this waterfall, all round an easily accessible waterfall.

Pencil Pine Cascades

26 Jun 2022

Pencil Pine Cascades

We nearly forgot this one! Very accessible to everyone so no excuses to going to see it. We tacked this cascade on the end of our Crater Falls walk as we were leaving the national park.

Quaile Falls

26 Jun 2022

Quaile Falls

Really this should count as 3 different waterfalls. The walk into the upper and middle sections of this waterfall were easy and very picturesque. The highlight was the lower part of the falls. Although dangerous to access, well worth it.

Lobster Falls

24 Jul 2022

Lobster Falls

A hidden gem. Track edges very crumbly and muddy. Steep edges and tall cliffs make for a careful walk in. 3 cascade sections worth visiting, although we were mindful of where we walked due to large amounts of flowering gorse in the area.

Shower Cave Falls

30 Jul 2022

Meandering in the Meander

An awesome area packed with waterfalls, so it's difficult to know where to start. We walked the Split Rock Track first, and there are a number of smaller falls possibly worthy of a name before we reached the actual Shower Cave Falls.

Split Rock Falls

30 Jul 2022

Continuing up the track

Not far from Shower Cave Falls. An excessive amount of tape made the track easy to follow but somewhat tarnished the experience. A lovely waterfall although very cold when we were there. Icicles hanging off Split Rock!

Bastion Cascades

20 Aug 2022

Bastion Cascades

Walked past Stone Hut and Crowden's Croft through a light snow shower, which cleared into a beautiful blue-skied day. Plenty of small falls due to high amounts of rain over the last week made the area both beautiful and slippery.

Gossamer Falls

20 Aug 2022

A short wet scramble

Not at all far from Bastion Cascades, but with all the rain recently it was interesting getting across the creek and up to the base of the upper Gossamer Falls. An absolutely magical area once we were there and well worth the little climb.

Keoghs Falls

03 Sep 2022

Keoghs Falls

Definitely not happy with the view from the Waratah lookout. Managed to find a safe route to the middle tier of the falls.

Arve Falls

03 Sep 2022

Arve Falls

Another impressive drop around Geeveston, where the viewing platform did not do it justice.

Kermandie Falls

03 Sep 2022

Kermandie Falls

Lots of jumping over and under logs across the path. A recent fire made the bush surrounds mediocre, but the falls themselves were worth the effort.

Storys Falls

01 Oct 2022

Storys Falls

Very close to the road - just off Storys Creek Road at Rossarden. We visited this waterfall briefly before summiting Stacks Bluff. We'll head back to this area to attempt Coal Falls soon.

Breathtaking amble through a short but muddy track. Very large waterfall with plenty of water flowing.

Lovers Falls

15 Aug 2023

Lovers Falls

Something a bit different. A gentle kayak down the Pieman and a short walk along some boardwalk through a ferny forest.

Nelson Falls

Another difficult waterfall to photograph. So much water spray on the camera lens!

Stitt Falls

Stitt Falls

Not an easy waterfall to photograph. Couldn't make it to the bottom.

Montezuma Falls

Montezuma Falls

Attempted Frazer and Rawlinson too. Got too wet and dangerous for Frazer and we found a waterfall we thought was Rawlinson.... but wasn't 😅
