Kindred Falls is a seasonal waterfall situated just past the township of Kindred in Northern Tasmania, approximately 20 km's from Devonport. The waterfall these days is rather unspectacular, with waterflow largely restricted along Kindred Creek due to irrigation schemes and dams constructed for nearby farms. Consequently, Kindred Falls seldom sees heavy flows.
The waterfall is situated about 50 metres from the roads edge, but cannot be seen. To reach the base of the falls, you need to walk through heavy blackberry bushes, and thick thorny scrub, descending down towards the creek. There is no track to guide you, and you will need to be comfortable with your own ability to not just find a way down to the base of the falls, but to find your way out again.
