About Guide Falls

An easy and picturesque 20 minute drive from Burnie, Guide Falls Reserve is a popular picnic attraction with tables and bbq amenities located near the entrance of the reserve and further along the gravel road at the top of the Guide Falls.

Following the Guide River from the lower picnic area is an easy 5 minute walk to the waterfall on a well maintained track with guard rails and seats to enjoy the views. The track meanders through to the bottom of the falls. Here, you can enjoy the view, peaceful sounds and gentle mist of water. There are relatively steep steps to the top of Guide Falls where you are greeted with a viewing platform, the upper picnic area and road.
